{"id":1891,"date":"2020-12-24T15:37:13","date_gmt":"2020-12-24T15:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edvantis.com\/2020-end-of-year-recap\/"},"modified":"2022-11-16T12:17:20","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T12:17:20","slug":"2020-end-of-year-recap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edvantis.com\/de\/blog\/2020-end-of-year-recap\/","title":{"rendered":"Edvantis 2020 Year-End Recap: The Good, the Great, and the Better Ahead"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By many accounts, 2020 was well\u2026an extraordinary year, sending all industries on a wind-whirl of a journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as most of us at Edvanits are already donning those *<em>fantastic<\/em>* Christmas sweaters, gorging on the festive candy, and looking ahead to all the presents, we\u2019d like to focus more on the merry things that happened in 2020 at our company and lift the curtain a bit to our plans for 2021.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-block-toc  is-style-outline htoc htoc--position-wide toc-list-style-plain\" data-htoc-state=\"expanded\"><span class=\"htoc__title\"><span class=\"ht_toc_title\">Table of Contents<\/span><\/span><div class=\"htoc__itemswrap\"><ul class=\"ht_toc_list\"><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#htoc-a-year-under-new-leadership\">A Year Under New Leadership<\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#htoc-reasons-to-be-proud\">Reasons to Be Proud&nbsp;<\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"#htoc-ambitious-goals-for-the-year-ahead\">Ambitious Goals for the Year Ahead<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"htoc-a-year-under-new-leadership\">A Year Under New Leadership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of 2019, Edvantis welcomed a new top management team \u2014 Ruslan Zakharchenko as Chief Executive Officer and Yuliya Letnyanchyn as a Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Edvantis as a Board Member and CEO, Ruslan held several executive positions at Ukraine\u2019s top-10 IT outsourcing companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a proven track record of leading business transformations and executing change management, Ruslan admitted that 2020 was indeed pivotal for him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cDid I expect that 2020 will be the year when uncertainty is the \u2018new normal\u2019? No, not really. Did that fact stop our team from doing our best work and expanding our market presence? Absolutely not! Despite the challenges, everyone at Edvantis rapidly re-grouped and re-committed to the new priorities. This was one of a major crisis, but it certainly didn\u2019t go to waste with our company!\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to our systematic approach to governance and delivery, Edvantis sailed soundly through the most turbulent times and maintained high levels of service delivery.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1065\" height=\"376\" src=\"https:\/\/edvantis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/csat-score.svg\" alt=\"CSAT score - picture\" class=\"wp-image-2355\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"htoc-reasons-to-be-proud\">Reasons to Be Proud&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>One of our corporate goals at Edvantis is to positively contribute to the society where we operate.<\/strong> We proudly report that in 2020 we made good progress in this department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Edvantis signed a social partnership deal with \u201cSotsial\u02b9na Komora\u201d Community Help Center in Lviv. Managed by a local charity foundation, this project is aimed at turning an abandoned property into a local community center for abandoned children, troubled youth, and vulnerable families. You can learn more about the initiative and our commitments from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edvantis.com\/blog\/new-community-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">separate blog post<\/a>.<\/li><li>In Dec 2020, we also launched an Internship program for current students and recent graduates who want to start a career in UX\/UI design or Business Analysis. Check out all the details <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edvantis.com\/blog\/edvantis-internship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our company also worked hard to improve our internal processes and service delivery levels in 2020. <\/strong>While a lot of such work happens in the background, it helps&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edvantis topped several charts in 2020:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/techreviewer.co\/top-it-services-companies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Techreviewer<\/a> named Edvantis as a Top IT Service Company.<\/li><li>Clutch ranked us among <a href=\"https:\/\/clutch.co\/ua\/developers\/testing\/leaders-matrix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ukrainian<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/clutch.co\/pl\/developers\/testing\/leaderx-matrix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Polish<\/a> leaders in Quality Assurance Services, as well as among <a href=\"https:\/\/clutch.co\/ua\/it-services\/staff-augmentation\/leaders-matrix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">top Staff Augmentation Firms in Ukraine<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"432\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" src=\"https:\/\/edvantis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Group-7552-1024x432.jpg\" alt=\"Edvantis awards - picture\" class=\"wp-image-2359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.edvantis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Group-7552-1024x432.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.edvantis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Group-7552-300x127.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.edvantis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Group-7552-768x324.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.edvantis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Group-7552-1536x648.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.edvantis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Group-7552.jpg 1598w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Finally, we have also achieved ISO\/IEC 27001:2013 Security Certification this year. <\/strong>This internationally recognized standard is provided to companies, capable of effectively managing information security for consulting and software engineering services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"htoc-ambitious-goals-for-the-year-ahead\">Ambitious Goals for the Year Ahead<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>2020 certainly taught us to go back to the drawing board over and over again. But it did not discourage us from setting bold targets and finding our way towards them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So what do we expect in 2021? Many good things, hopefully \u2014 end of social distancing, gradual markets rebound, new exciting partnerships, and the launch of new service offerings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020, we spend a lot of time re-thinking how we support our clients and how we can get even better in communicating the value of IT outsourcing. Over long Zoom calls, we discussed new operational playbooks, conceptualized new service models, and desperately tried to get the pets &amp; kids away from the screen during the most important client presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021, we\u2019ll present the results of our careful inner works and also unveil the updated Edvantis website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, there\u2019s still plenty of festive food to eat and good things to toast to.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We wish everyone the earnest Christmas and the happiest New
